The Details:

Location: Downtown Seattle (remote is not available for this role)

 

Work Schedule: Our typical business hours are 8:30-5:00 Monday-Friday

 

Travel Requirements: Up to 10%

 

Category: Full-Time, Exempt, Union

What You’ll Be Doing:

Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications, the Internal Communications Program Lead is responsible for leading the development and implementation of strategies and tactics to strengthen the organization through internal communications. They will manage projects independently and have the ability to contribute on an individual level as well as manage the work of vendors as needed. They should have the skills to contribute to internal communications both strategically and tactically.

  • Strategize, design, implement and monitor internal communications efforts using a variety of mediums;
  • Create, collect and curate stories and voices from throughout the organization;
  • Produce print and digital materials using Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft products and other platforms;
  • Provide executive communications support to leadership;
  • Collaborate with partners and stakeholders to devise strategies and implement tactics to meet their goals; 
  • Work with vendors and contractors as needed;
  • Contribute to major organizational publications and special events as needed;
  • Additional duties as assigned by your manager.

You Will Need to Have:

  • Stable work history;
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner;
  • At least 5 years of experience in marketing and communications or background that prepares you for this role;
  • Exceptional writing and copy-editing skills, for diverse audiences;
  • Strategic communications planning expertise and implementation expertise (preferably with a focus on internal communications);
  • Experience managing projects with tight timelines, multiple customers and stakeholders;
  • A proven track record of building relationships with internal leaders and stakeholders;
  • Excellent eye for visual communication with superior oral and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a self-directed manner;
  • Strong project management skills;
  • Strong customer service orientation, team building, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

It Will Be Great if You Have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism;
  • CMS experience;
  • Adobe Creative Suite experience;
  • WordPress or other content managements systems;
  • Photography skills;
  • Social media experience.
