The Role

PlaceIQ’s product management team drives product development from conceptualization through launch across a variety of areas. The successful candidate should be equally comfortable talking tech with developers, user experience with designers, copy and positioning with product marketers, numbers with acquisition marketing, and strategy with executive leadership.   As a Product Manager, you will drive roadmaps, letting nothing stand in the way of clarity and prioritization. You’ll contribute to the company’s broader vision - challenging and extending our thinking to ensure that we’re doing right both by our customers and our business. You’ll have ownership and accountability. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Senior Product leadership to evolve high-level strategic vision into actionable tactics that provide PlaceIQ’s users with a delightful, seamless, personalized experience.
  • Serve as the product owner for one or more development teams, leading sprint grooming, prioritization, and definition efforts.
  • Define and manage the product roadmap, setting expectations with all relevant stakeholders including the senior leadership team.
  • Be the subject matter expert for PlaceIQ’s tools and features.
  • Work closely with product marketing, design, finance, program management and legal, teams to deliver products
  • Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the organization’s ability to meet its strategic, financial, and technical goals.
  • Leverage data/analytics to make decisions, but know how to make the call when all the data isn’t there.
  • Eat, sleep, and breathe digital media trends and user behaviors. Know the competition. Identify the whitespace.

Skills/Experience Requirements:

  • 2+ years’ experience in product management
  • Experience working with Bid Data Framework such as Hadoop. Experience working with Pig, Spark a plus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • A demonstrated record of partnering with teams across the organization and influencing to achieve business results across multiple teams who may have different goals
  • A knowledge and/or understanding of Web applications, Mobile and/or innovative new product-platforms.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical and non-technical employees.
  • BS in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent, Preferred with MBA from a top tier program.
