We are looking for a Software Engineer with strong interest and experience in UI engineering who can help take our newest product, New Relic Infrastructure, to the next level. This mean working with new technology, a new product, and working with an amazing team. 

As the right person for the role:

  • You should be very proficient in JavaScript. We happen to use React, but we value solid JavaScript skills first and foremost.
  • We take testing seriously. Proficiency with UI testing and end-to-end testing is a big plus.
  • You should know CSS, or at least be willing to learn it. We take a component-oriented approach to CSS that is easy to maintain.
  • You should be comfortable working closely with designers and product managers to plan and build UI features. We love UI engineers who have a strong sense of product, user experience, and design.
  • Knowledge of modern build tooling (e.g. webpack, browserify) and modern frameworks (e.g. React) is plus!
  • Interest and experience in backend services, DevOps, and tooling is a plus!
We utilize many great technologies in our stack (JavaScript, React, Go, Docker, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Kafka), are strong proponents of micro-services, and believe deeply in continuous integration and constantly improving quality, performance, and making software that delights our customers.

Our team very much feels like a “Startup within a startup” - you have a lot of freedom in choosing technology and product buildout, and are able to influence technical decisions made throughout the team and company. You would be a crucial part in defining the product's direction and in integrating the product into the New Relic ecosystem.
