What you will do:

 JPL OCIO-CISO assess mission project cybersecurity documentation to ensure compliance with NASA requirements in the prime contract and IT transition plan.

  • Analyze mission project IT security plans in ITSDB
  • Interface with mission project teams
  • Determine if system security categorization is completed and documented
  • Determine if Privacy Impact Assessment is completed and documented
  • Determine if all NIST SP 800-53 baseline security controls are addressed
  • Determine if the system description and system environment are described to NASA standards
  • Determine if a contingency plan is developed and tested
  • Determine if a system architecture diagram is developed
  • Collaborate with mission project teams to provide recommendations for needed updates based on the completed analysis
  • Review IT system security plans (SSPs) after entry into NASA RISCS systems
  • Ensure all required data accurately uploaded from ITSDB
  • Serve as JPL POCs for designated positions to complete RISCS workflows for granting and maintenance of Authority to Operate (ATO)
  • Maintain system cybersecurity documentation in NASA RISCS systems for all JPL systems designated as NASA systems

Requirements:

  • Experience applying the requirements of NIST SP 800-37 and NIST SP 800-53
  • Experience using Microsoft office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • High School with 9 years of related experience
  • Associates with 7 years of related experience
  • Bachelors with 5 years of related experience
  • Related required training
