Spanish Content Editor/Proofreader

IXL Learning, a leading edtech company with products used by 6 million students worldwide, is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented content editor with demonstrated expertise in Spanish as a foreign language to join our content team. In this role, you will work closely with content writers and curriculum designers to ensure our Spanish items are grammatically correct, elegantly worded, and appropriate for Levels 1 & 2 of High School Spanish.

This is a remote, contract position.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Ensure the overall quality and consistency of our Spanish content

  • Review content for completeness, accuracy, and adherence to specifications

  • Ensure that content is at the appropriate reading and knowledge level for Spanish students

  • Copy edit to improve formatting and style
Provide content writers with general and specific feedback

What We're Looking For

  • Native-level fluency in written and spoken Spanish and English
  • BA/BS degree
  • Demonstrated expertise in Spanish content development with an editorial focus

  • Strong understanding of Spanish students’ reading and knowledge levels

  • Impeccable knowledge of Spanish usage and grammar

  • Familiarity with the culture of various Spanish-speaking countries is a plus

  • Superior writing and editing skills

  • Strong communication skills

  • Ability to be efficient and organized while working on multiple projects simultaneously

  • Ability to influence and improve the work of others
Experience using web content management systems and writing and editing in an online format
