Founded in 1996, we are experiencing rapid growth and seeking to add a Digital Product Manager to support our product strategies. As an integral member on our team, the Digital Product Manager will support our Medical Ally product portfolio by developing and implement innovative products and channels for members to engage with our programs, digitally, including a comprehensive consumer web portal, digital programs and mobile capabilities.

Job Responsibilities

The Digital Product Manager is a strategic thinker who has championed web and mobile application projects that meet consumer needs, preferably in the healthcare or financial industries. This position will work cross-functionally and is responsible for translating market and user needs to product requirements, and delivering products in partnership with third-party partners and other resources. Responsibilities include ensuring a strong product-market fit to our target markets and managing product design, improvements, and partner integrations that optimize consumer engagement. 

Primary duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversees and interprets market research and competitive intelligence to determine ways to competitively enhance digital product capabilities
  • Partners with business stakeholders and Technology team to determine the best solutions to enhance functionality and increase user satisfaction
  • Identifies third-party partners to assist with development of products
  • Works with Engagement and Product teams to organize and evaluate results from usability studies
  • Evaluates how variations in the product design can impact its overall effectiveness
  • Oversees development and maintenance of products as needed
  • Responsible for determining prioritization of features to go to market
  • Conducts A/B testing, market research, user research, and usability testing in support of application designs
  • Creates user interface designs, prototypes, and requirements
  • Develops back-end integration and data-mapping specifications
  • Works with Marketing and Customer Experience teams to develop application launch programs
  • Manages specific Medical Ally products, their roadmaps, lifecycle plans, and prioritization activities for the employer-benefits market, health plans, and other channel partners
  • Helps merge the Service Delivery and content management platform strategy with our consumer experience strategy and execute through the product lifecycle
  • Closely collaborates with other product, authoring, content, development, and design teams, in addition to other stakeholders, such as Marketing, business, legal/compliance, security, and Operations, to ensure that the overall digital ecosystem and its specific products and capabilities meet the needs of consumers and internal stakeholders
  • Maintains a deep understanding of assigned products, resulting in recommendations for updates that maximize market appeal and utilization
  • Assists in making strategic decisions regarding when and where to build, partner, license, or contract market vendors to complete product requests
  • Coordinates operational integration activities across functional teams as needed; negotiates delivery deadlines, assists with determining staffing and infrastructure needs, conducts internal training, and obtains feedback regarding product and team performance
  • Provides organizational product training and support of Sales and Account Management teams

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of eight (8) years of product management experience working on web/mobile consumer projects
  • Experience in a healthcare, health insurance, or employer benefit environment a major plus, with experience delivering solutions through many modalities (i.e., phone, mobile, print)
  • Experience with diagnosing consumer and business problems, identifying high-value solutions, and collaborating with impacted groups to drive decisions
  • Possesses excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication with both business and technical audiences
  • Experience with Salesforce as a platform serving community portals
  • Experience in building workflowsriting user requirements, and A/B testing
  • Experience working on consumer digital products
  • Experience working with user experience or digital marketing teams
  • Experience with mobile applications
  • Detail and deadline-driven, ensures solutions meet the need and drive high user satisfaction
  • A strategic thinker, process-oriented, with an eye for executing on the details which make products special, you know what you want and are able to guide the organization and collaborators to execute your vision
  • Manages project plans, internal team members, external vendors, and service providers, as required
  • A product champion; ability to enthusiastically promote projects to your team, the company, current customers, and future prospects
  • Position can be located within or in proximity to the ConsumerMedical offices in either Pembroke, MA, or Bloomington, MN
