Business and Reporting Analyst

ConsumerMedical is seeking a Business and Reporting Analyst to support the organization's business intelligence needs by implementing data management, reporting and analytics solutions. The individual will participate in gathering business needs, documenting requirements, identifying data sources and data elements, developing business intelligence components, and delivering solutions. The Business and Reporting Analyst will also be responsible for data and report interpretation and the design, development and deployment of data warehouse, dashboards, scorecards, and interactive reports to enable metrics-driven decisions. 

Responsibilities include:

  • Understand quickly the business issues and data challenges for ConsumerMedical, its clients and industry; meet with business owners to gather and document business needs and requirements
  • Deliver innovative data, reporting and analytics solutions, including self-service and web-based reporting and analytics solutions; manage the development and release of data, reporting and analytics changes to production
  • Implement data integration and business intelligence solutions that adhere to the organization's internal standards and industry best practice; analyze information delivered to identify trends, issues, or interesting findings
  • Use both technical knowledge and understanding of ConsumerMedical data to drive improvements to company’s systems as well as reporting and analytics solutions
  • Analyze and document current business processes and new processes to optimize our outcomes evaluation efforts and performance metrics for sponsoring customers; documentation includes using any appropriate requirement specification tools including user stories, use cases, data flow diagrams, process diagrams or functional specifications
  • Elicit functional requirements from existing customers (i.e. employers) seeking a clai-ms-based or other outcomes analysis in conjunction with our health data partner or our internal data teams; work closely with Operations to proactively manage all customer-specific projects and project scopes, communicate risks and impacts of proposed changes in a timely fashion to both customers and ConsumerMedical
  • Validate issues reported by the business against requirements and acceptance criteria
  • Ensure adequate traceability of requirements, work with the health data architect to manage changes to existing requirements, and processing and prioritization of new requirements into subsequent analytic model releases
  • Assist with defining the data, reporting and analytics roadmap; execute the data analytics roadmap in conjunction with key stakeholders
  • Prioritize project and support tasks and continuously identify and implement data, reporting and analytics process improvements


  • Bachelor's Degree (±7 years); Masters with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; actuarial or statistics training and experience preferred
  • Strong understanding of Healthcare business processes specifically focused on employers, health plans, clinicians and other channel partners
  • 3 years’ experience in SQL development and relational databases and in reporting technologies, such as SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Tableau or Qlik required
  • Confident understanding of Salesforce reporting preferred
  • Experience with claims data, data warehouse systems, architecture and analytics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills interfacing with internal and external stakeholders including client management levels
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at the same time
  • Mastery of PC skills to include the Microsoft suite including 365
