Summary
This position is primarily responsible for developing, evaluating, promoting and implementing collegiate chapter recruitment policies and procedures, programs and training.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Develop, evaluate, revise and update chapter recruitment policies and procedures and/or materials.
  • Develop, evaluate, revise and update chapter recruitment growth plans annually to achieve Sorority membership recruitment goals.
  • Develop, evaluate and revise Gamma Phi Beta’s recruitment training curriculum and communication materials (i.e., newsletter content, email reminders, etc.).
  • Oversee chapter recruitment support.
  • Ensure collegiate chapter recruitment reports are submitted completely and promptly for all required reporting to International Headquarters.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to stay informed about National Panhellenic Conference recruitment-related activities (i.e., RFM, campus Panhellenic recruitment rules, campus Panhellenic recruitment infractions and mediations, etc.).
  • Serve as liaison to the Education department for providing collegiate chapter officer training regarding recruitment.
  • Collaborate with Sorority Growth manager in supporting chapters at highest deficit to total to ensure consistent execution of Gamma Phi Beta recruitment practices.
  • Identify and track trends in chapter recruitment and implement best practices to assist chapters in managing issues or challenges.
  • Manage communication and resources provided to advisors and regional/new chapter volunteers supporting chapter recruitment activities and resources.
  • Provide outstanding customer service in responding to member, vendor and volunteer inquiries.
  • Responds to all member reference questions, including reference philosophy, and use of online form within 24 business hours. Coordinates with Administrative team on form functionality.
  • Collaborates with the Marketing department to manage yearly communication plan around recruitment and references.
Additional Job Functions
  • As requested, provide chapter recruitment reports from Gamma Phi Beta’s software systems.
  • Collaborate with appropriate staff and volunteers to insure timely communication of information to chapter officers and volunteers.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Directly supervises volunteers in the recruitment team. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training employees and/or volunteers; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising and recognizing performance; performance management; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree preferred. Two to four years relevant experience required. Experience in fraternity/sorority life or similar nonprofit a plus.

  • Fraternity/sorority membership and/or experience, Gamma Phi Beta membership preferred.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of: Internet software; spreadsheet software (Excel); word processing software (Word); electronic mail software (Outlook); presentation software (PowerPoint); OmegaRecruit (membership selection software formerly known as Select-A-Sis) and publishing software.
