What you'll be doing: 

  • Ensure the availability and efficiency of the Security department’s infrastructure.
  • Build and monitor security infrastructure in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Monitor and configure cloud security tools including email scanning, CASB, and other tools to be added to the security portfolio.
  • Monitor and tune Elastic cluster for performance and alerting capabilities.
  • Follow change management and configuration management procedures and guidelines.
  • Performing other system administration duties such as installations, configurations, troubleshooting, kernel tuning, user access administration, file system tuning, hardware configuration, system performance tuning, disk management, custom package creation, shell scripting, and application layer access control.
  • Ensure timely and responsible system patching by monitoring for available patches and installing in accordance with change management procedures.
  • Ensure all security systems are monitored for availability and performance using Nagios.
  • Act as backup for firewall operations when necessary.

Desired Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience working with Linux systems.
  • Experience with multiple distributions preferred.
  • Experience with delivering solutions via cloud services, such as AWS and Azure.
  • Experience working with and using common IAM, logging, monitoring, configuration and system management technologies.
  • Extensive experience automating routine/common tasks and troubleshooting network problems.
