WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

 

  • Working with the Network Team comprised of seasoned engineers to support Code42’s global cloud consisting of 8 geographically dispersed locations
  • Designing, building, and supporting LAN, WAN, and cloud interconnect infrastructure
  • Specific responsibilities will vary, depending on your skills/interests, and the current capabilities and responsibilities of other team members.
  • There is the potential to be included in a rotational on call responsibility
    (Some projects require travel time, 1-4 weeks each year)

 

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous experience designing, building and supporting data center network infrastructure
  • 3-5 years of network switching experience
  • 3-5 years of network routing experience, Specifically BGP and/or OSPF
  • Computer Engineering or related degree, or equivalent experience
  • Firewall experience (iptables, pf, VLAN, NAT, routing, subnetting, VPN)
  • DHCP/DNS/IPAM experience (Linux/ISC)
  • Network monitoring experience (data collection, log analysis, graphing, thresholds and alerts, and performance analysis)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (tcpdump/wireshark)
  • Scripting/automation skills (bash, python, ruby)
  • Solid communication skills
  • Network documentation guru (how-to procedures, layer 2/3 diagrams, etc.)
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Self directing and motivated
  • Strong team contributor
  • Affable, collegial and fun

 

PREFERRED: 

  • Heavy Junos OS experience
  • Experience with and understanding of data center network architecture
