WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:

In this role at Code42, you will collaborate with Product Management, Cloud Operations, and Research & Development teams to identify, define, and manage projects for the Cloud Operations team. 

This Product Owner will partner with the other Product Owner on the team to intake new work, manage the backlog, create user stories, and lead sprint planning sessions to schedule work.

YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

  • Developing detailed stories and acceptance criteria that can be easily transformed into a technical solution that meets maintenance, support, and security requirements
  • Collaborating with the Cloud Operations team to estimate work
  • Leading sprint planning to ensure stories are tracked, on time, and within scope
  • Participating in the development of related strategies and plans as defined by the business
  • Participating in stand-up meetings
  • Evolving a knowledgebase for the Cloud Operations team
  • Working closely with stakeholders across the organization in support of business initiatives
  • Communicating status during all stages of the development life cycle

SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst / Systems Analyst/ Technical Product Manager/ Product Owner or in related position
  • Experience creating stories/requirements, performing systems analysis, plus engaging with development teams in the practices relevant to successful product delivery
  • Experience participating on teams using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban
  • Experience working on SaaS applications
  • Knowledge of relevant software communication protocols, cloud infrastructure and security requirements
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills
  • Strong team player with excellent time management, organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize work by evaluating competing stakeholder interests based prioritization criteria
  • Ability to work in fast paced and dynamic development environment
  • Eager to learn the ins and outs of new tools and processes

DESIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 3+ years’ experience providing team leadership between technology stakeholders
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional associations
  • Experience in a dynamic start-up or high growth environment
  • Understanding product launch cycles and requirements
  • Using Jira as a project management tool
  • Creating pages and documents in Confluence
  • Experience creating mock ups/wire frames/technical design documents
  • Experience managing projects
