WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

Working within our Small Business Marketing team, you will serve as a key player in partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to define, create, and execute promotional email marketing campaigns, lifecycle emails, retention/reactivation programs, and loyalty building communications.  You’ll work to ensure our program meets or exceeds annual demand plans and program KPI's including email opt-in and retention rates, open rate, click through rate, conversion, and demand per email.   You’ll also develop and perform detailed post-email analysis to identify new or evolved operating principles and actions to continually drive program performance. 


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Leads the planning and execution efforts for daily marketing emails. Partners with colleagues and agency partners to create calls to action, landing pages, to develop creative and copy as well as call to actions.
  • Ensures all emails meet business objectives and requirements and open rate, click-through rate, and demand per email goals.
  • Ensures effective-accurate set up in Marketo as well as SFDC where appropriate.
  • Develops roadmaps for growing Small Business email marketing programs to drive acquisition, customer retention, current customer growth, and demand generation to achieve quantifiable revenue goals.
  • Lead quality control for all aspects of email communications including links, email and landing page content and subject line.
  • Helps to define and deliver email test plans. Champions new ideas and concepts to test with the goal of improving open, click through, and conversion rates. Summarizes and communicates test results and recommendations with key stakeholders.
  • Create email reporting dashboards analyzing campaign performance in order to provide actionable recommendations and deliver continuous improvements to the email program. Communicates email program performance results and key takeaways to direct future strategies and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the email marketing program by staying on top of email marketing channel best practices, trends, innovative ideas, strategies, and industry standards. Maintains best practices and operating principles for driving email delivery, open, and click-through rates.
  • Create, format, and modify emails using HTML.

 

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Business or other related area of study.
  • Minimum of 3 years Email Marketing experience using enterprise email service provider tools like Marketo (specific Marketo experience preferred) and experience planning and executing behavioral-based or trigger-based email campaigns required.
  • Minimum of 3 years Website analytics experience using Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics or an equivalent tool. Return Path, Oracle Deliverabilty Plus experience preferred.
  • Experience in the direct marketing or collectibles space not required but highly desirable.
  • Innovative, solid critical thinker with business-creative capabilities combined with a strong analytical and numbers-orientated approach to metrics.
  • Proven ability to build consensus and rapport to generate alignment and drive key issues to resolution and work effectively within a cross-departmental team.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Contribute to various projects to ensure on-time, on-budget completion.
  • Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills required.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is essential.

 

YOU WILL STAND OUT FROM THE CROWD IF YOU ALSO HAVE:

  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodologies.
  • HTML, Photoshop or other website production skills.
  • Experience with sales reporting and inventory systems.
