Software Engineer - New Grad

Engineering Mountain View, California

BloomReach is changing the world’s Web experience with its Personal Discovery Platform, a big-data-fueled and machine-learning-powered engine that matches web-users’ intent with websites’ content. We’re looking for really smart engineers who are seriously into Web search, data mining, machine learning, algorithms, natural language processing and/or large scale systems. Oh, and specifically, we’re looking for those kinds of engineers who are also interested in joining a high-octane team at a rapidly growing company. But who isn’t? We come from Google, Amazon, Cisco, Yahoo and from Stanford, MIT, Carnegie Mellon, UC-Berkeley, MIT and the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Come find your place and your project.

  • Scale BloomReach’s Hadoop-based data processing pipelines -- including crawling, parsing, indexing, semantic analysis and language modeling, and analytics -- to handle and maintain complex processes in an efficient and reliable way.
  • Develop machine learning and data mining algorithms to extract meaningful information from tens to hundreds of millions of crawled web-pages
  • Develop models to predict web search query patterns
  • Develop algorithms to cluster and organize web pages by similar content

  • Currently pursuing a BS/MS/PhD in Computer Science or related field with a plan to graduate in Dec 2014 or Spring 2015
  • Solid programmer and significant development experience in a Linux environment
  • Interest in information retrieval and machine learning at web scale

If this is you and you can prove it, we’re interested in talking to you about joining our top-flight engineering team. To get the conversation started, send along a cool piece of code, a link to something you’ve built or a hack that you’re proud of. We can’t wait to have a look.
