Radio Promotions Assistant
Person needed to serve as an ambassador for the CBC local radio stations’ (99.9 The Fan WCMC-FM, MIX 101.5 WRAL-FM, 95.7 FM That Station, and The Buzz WCMC-HD2) events and promotions. The Promotions Assistant will assist with the preparation and coordination of station events and live broadcasts. This could include event set-up and breakdown, packing promotional materials and event supplies, updating station social media accounts, taking photos, operating broadcasting equipment and other clerical tasks as needed.
Individual must be outgoing and enthusiastic in greeting the public, working with clients, and handling event required activities. This is a part-time position, approximately 15-20 hours per week (more during large events); the Promotions Assistant must be able to work weekdays, weekends, evenings and some holidays. The ability to lift equipment such as speakers and boxes in excess of 15 pounds is required; experience and interest in radio promotions and the broadcast industry is preferred. Must have a valid driver’s license with clean driving record and reliable transportation.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to work in areas and conditions that are often noisy, have many distractions, and in extreme weather (heat and cold) and landscape conditions. Must be able to lift, carry and move with up to 50lbs in many environments including outdoors and in extreme weather conditions.
