The Answer: WRAL’s Brain Game! For more than 25 years, the “smartest 30 minutes on television” has educated and entertained Raleigh, Durham and the surrounding communities. Now, we are searching for a WRAL Brain Game Part-time Coordinator to support our Producers and Writers.
The ideal team member should be organized, have excellent communication skills and be eager to support the wide variety of tasks required before and during each of the 24 quiz show games. The qualified candidate will be responsible but not limited to the following:
*Before and during the season, serve as a station point-of-contact for the teams/high schools to confirming schedules, players and acquiring student video release forms
*Distribute marketing and other materials to our partners and participating teams/high schools
*Work with Brain Game Producers to create taping schedules & coordinate booking schools for the season.
*Help to organize taping question sets for each program with Brain Game Producers and writers
*Gather assets for taping questions sets (graphics, images, audio)
*Write content for the show/games (based on the qualifications of the candidate)
*Assist Brain Game producers with question review
*Assist on-site during the six to eight Saturday tapings days, between October and April (TBD)
*Help with game judging and or scorekeeping during the live-to-tape productions
*This position is tentatively set to work during the months of September through April each year.
