Position Summary
The Service Manager (EMEA), Energy Storage will be responsible for managing a cross functional team to complete commissioning activities and the obligations under the Long-Term Service Agreements (LTSA’s) for Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects.
- Manage daily operations of the regional service team including scheduling resources to complete commissioning tasks, preventative and corrective maintenance on CSI Solar’s Solbank energy storage product.
- Oversee Health and Safety, P&L, plant capacity and availability guarantees, and augmentations.
- Ensure all personnel are trained and follow environmental, health and safety policies and procedures
- Responsible for the performance of service engineers and technicians as well as their day-to-day activities
- Accountable for P&L including budget, staffing and CAPEX / OPEX development
- Establish and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) to ensure sites are in accordance with contractual obligations and manufacturers requirements including achieving capacity and availability guarantees
- Negotiate subcontractor service agreements
- Prepare and review detailed scopes of work for service team and subcontractors
- Review and approve maintenance reports
- Evaluate and recommend opportunities to improve operational efficiencies
- Determine spare part requirements and track spare part inventory
- Analyze performance data determining root cause and performance trends
- Oversee the preparation of monthly reports to client / owner and present performance metrics and KPI’s
- Assist with the negotiation of LTSA’s with the client / owner and Sub-LTSA’s with service providers
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project
- Complete other duties and projects as assigned
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 10 years’ work experience in a service environment that includes electrical systems, controls systems, network communication hardware, and power generation hardware
- Minimum 5 years management and personnel management experience
- Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) degree or diploma. Equivalent work experience will be considered
- Knowledge of general and national codes, medium voltage power systems and Energy Storage system applications is an asset
- Strong negotiation, facilitation, risk management and consensus building skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally and influence positively a diverse group of executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Proven ability to prioritize, manage multiple projects, and execute in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a strong ownership mentality
- Must possess a valid driver’s license with a driving record
- Must be able to travel to regional locations as needed
- Ability to function successfully both independently and within a team
- Demonstrated professional appearance and conduct
- Work will be performed in a standard office environment, in front of a computer monitor and will involve sitting, bending, standing, walking, typing, reaching.
