Position Title:  Supplier Quality Engineer

Department:Supply Chain

Reports To:Director, Supply Chain Mgmt., US Mfg. Op.

Position Summary:

This position is a full-cycle supplier management role, participating in not only localization projects but also new projects with local in-house product development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the quality assurance of raw materials supplied by suppliers, timely feedback to suppliers for improvement and follow up improvement report in incoming material inspection, production process inspection, customer complaints, etc.
• Responsible for tracking and confirming supplier's improvement report and implementation effect, driving supplier to make complete improvements. If necessary, on-site audit and inspection need to be carried out
• Evaluate and verify supplier process controls and supplier quality systems, analyze product failures, facilitate writing and/or approve results of corrective actions of suppliers
• Responsible for judgment, feedback, disposition of poor-quality material with supplier during incoming inspection
• Monitor supplier quality performance systematically, coordinate internal related function and follow up supplier to improvement for poor performance suppliers
• Monitoring the project schedule of supplier and giving feedback
• Feeding back the product quality information and tracking, advancing the capability of the supplier to fulfil the target of the quality improvement
• Be responsible for the preparation, update and training of raw material SIP documents, and constantly improve QPA documents

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree or above, major in mechanical or engineering is preferred
• 5 years of quality engineer background, familiar with all kinds of quality tools, such as PPAP, APQP etc.
• Candidates must be able to generate, follow, and explain detailed instructions and inspection spec. to supplier
• Proficient in quality tools. Familiar with ISO quality management system
• Driven and enthusiastic, responsible, and positive, ability to work under pressure
• Responds positively to problems
