What are we looking for?
We are looking for a Junior Commercial Analyst EMEA that will be part of the Business Development team and will work under the supervision of the Senior Commercial Analyst.
Where are you going to work?
Milan office with hybrid work policy in place.
What are you going to do?
- Support the preparation and the monitoring of the budget and cashflow related to the EMEA pipeline of PV projects
- Develop, consolidate, and coordinate budget process, including the elaboration of forecasting models and data base files
- Updates trend reports, and analyses variations ensuring alignment with the forecast
- Liaise with other regional departments to provide the information and data required
- Maintains and updates reports on project pipeline status and progress for the EMEA Sr. Management and corporate HQ
- Support in market analyses and research and project opportunity assessments in the relevant BD countries
- Support in preparing, creating, and maintaining financial models for Canadian Solar projects in connection with projects acquisitions and onboarding, or where relevant changes in project assumptions occur
- Support in preparing Investment Committee memoranda, addressing Q&A from IC and Risk Management, coordinating input/information from/to other departments (PSF, Legal, EPC) to secure investment approvals for the deals in progress on time
- Maintain and update project data rooms according to internal standard, assists in due diligence processes and project acquisition closings
- Carryout reporting tasks and ensure compliance to internal procedures and policies
What you have:
- 6+ months of experience in controlling/budgeting/forecasting, even as an intern
- Effective communication skills with individuals at all levels of the organization
- Computer literacy, including effective skills in MS Office with specific focus in Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and time management skills
- Attention to detail in all areas of work
- Fluency in English
Nice to have:
- Experience with financial modelling
- Knowledge of macros and Visual Basic
- Familiarity with solar industry
- Ability to perform related functions in adherence to regulations, laws, policies, and standards
