Position Title: Crew Supervisor
Program/Region: Sensible Cyclery/Butte
Reports to: Program Manager
Classification: Regular, Part-Time, Non-Exempt
Pay Rate: $18.00 per hour
Shift: Monday - Thursday, 8am - 4:15pm

Position Description: Under supervision of the Program Manager the Crew Supervisor is responsible for: training the program participants how to repair bicycles and handling all Sensible Cyclery store customers. They will also assist with securing bike donations and managing inventories. Sensible Cyclery is a social enterprise business operated by Caminar that provides vocational opportunities for people who experience mental and/or developmental disabilities and are receiving services from the Department of Behavioral Health.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Train program participants how to deconstruct and rebuild bicycles.
- Coach program participants in appropriate workplace behaviors and interactions.
- Repair and rebuild bicycles.
- Evaluate program participants progress and goals periodically at 30 days, 6 months and upon exit or 9 months.
- Track and account for program participant hours on timesheets and in PayCom.
- Maintain and periodically replenish bike repair shop supplies.
- Manage the Sensible Cyclery cash register and sales receipts.
- Manage program petty cash appropriately, record and submit receipt slips to appropriate staff.
- Sell bicycles and bike accessories. Display bikes for sale.
- Open and close the bike shop.
- Interact appropriately with customers and the public.
- Receive bike donations and write tax receipts.
- Keep the bike shop and surrounding area clean and organized.
- Manage a large assortment of electric and manual specialty tools using appropriate safety precautions.

- Perform other related duties, responsibilities and special projects as assigned.
Experience, Qualifications, Skills & Abilities:
- Must be passionate about Caminar's mission.
- Previous experience with populations with special needs preferred.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Sales experience preferred.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred.
- Basic computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment including email and Internet navigation required.
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, a professional demeanor and to represent the organization in a positive manner at all times. Must demonstrate acceptable level of maturity, good judgment, boundaries, and emotional stability required.

Physical, Environmental and Mental Requirements:
- Physical: Occasionally required to push/pull objects up to 50 lbs, and to lift/carry objects up to 25 lbs. May be required to perform moderately difficult manipulative tasks such as typing, writing, etc. Must be able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods.
- Sensory: Must be able to distinguish normal sounds with some background noise, as in answering the phone, interacting with staff and customers, etc. Must be able to speak clearly and understand/be understood using the English language.
- Cognitive: Frequently required to concentrate on moderate detail with constant interruption. Must be able to attend to a task/function for 20-45 minutes at a time. May be required to understand and relate to specific ideas, several at a time. May be required to remember multiple tasks/assignments given to self and others over a period of several days.
- Environmental Conditions: Frequent exposure to varied office, residential, manufacturing, and retail environments. Occasional exposure to toxins and poisonous substances, dust, and loud noises.
- Equipment: May be required to use a computer, phone, and fax machine.
Special Requirements:
- Must be able to meet and receive a criminal records clearance, as required by Title XXII, other licensing regulations, and Caminar practices.
- Must be able to pass post offer, pre-employment medical and drug tests as required under State Community Care Licensing regulations and/or agency policies.
- This position may require Occasional driving. A valid California driver license, reliable personal vehicle, current personal auto insurance as required by law, and an MVR sufficient to obtain and reasonably maintain insurability under agency auto liability policies are all essential job requirements.
