Business Development Associate - Olathe, KS
We are looking for an individual who is intrinsically motivated and self-directed. You will need to have excellent telephone etiquette and a professional phone voice; good communication skills including the ability to demonstrate patience, tact, and enthusiasm while communicating with potential customers. Experience in marketing, lead generation, or prospect management is preferred, along with a desire to meet or exceed goals and quotas.
What You'll Do
As a Business Development Associate, you will play a vital role in the growth of the company. You will work closely with Business Development Executives on opportunities you generate while working select business opportunities on your own. You will be responsible for initiating new relationships by outbound calling, working with marketing to generate interest and attending events when appropriate -sharing CalTech’s value proposition, and related products and services.
You will generate sales leads by identifying essential contacts within businesses and gaining information while utilizing CalTech’s proven sales process to cultivate business opportunities resulting in new business relationships. You will schedule sales appointments for the appropriate resources based on account complexity and our target customer profile. You will participate in initial introductory sales calls with Business Development Executives.
You will work with Account Manager(s) on select opportunities to increase services for existing clients, assist with sales and marketing database maintenance by doing routine cleanup and editing, updating companies and contacts while adding new information where appropriate.
This position involves in-office work and 20% travel for training, team meetings, customer meetings, and events. Some after-business hours will be required, as well as the use of a personal vehicle for job-related travel with mileage reimbursement.
