CalTech is looking to hire a Desktop Support Technician who values delivering exceptional technology service in an effort to help us create loyal and enthusiastic customers. You must be a team player and willing to put in an honest day’s work!  

Position Available:

Tier 1 Engineer

As a Tier 1 Engineer, your job functions focus on repairing computers and printers inside and outside the CalTech office. You are the first line of client telephone technical support and support for the company office. Being customer service oriented is essential to succeed within this role. Basic working knowledge of personal computers and printers required.  Some after-hours work in or out of the office is required. A college degree or industry certifications are preferred.

Certifications:

You will need to obtain one out of the three certifications from the list below plus a current Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MCSA) certification within 120 days after the start of employment. CalTech provides our employees with a vast amount of study material. We will even help pay the cost of your certifications.

Job Growth Potential:

We provide a clear career track for all our employees: To graduate to Tier 2, you will need to obtain a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification.

To reach Tier 3, you must have and maintain any one of the following:

  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) certification
  • Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • Cisco Certified Design Professional (CCDP)
  • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) certification

Tier 3 Engineers are accountable for all aspects of Information Technology provided to our clients. This position includes - but is not limited to - the design, installation, implementation, and troubleshooting of the physical network and the network operating system.
