Accounting Clerk I

The Accounting Clerk I is responsible for ensuring accuracy and efficiency of operations while providing financial, administrative, and clerical services.
What You’ll Do
You will be responsible for all payroll functions. You will handle purchase orders; both internal and for CalTech clients, reconcile user counts for billing, reconcile credit cards for all cardholders at month end. You will also prepare, verify and process invoices. The Accounting Clerk I will make various journal entries – payroll, credit card expenses, revenue, cost of goods sold, etc. Some other responsibilities will be to verify and post receipts, generate financial statements and reports, and post customer payments by recording checks and ACH transactions.

You will need to have proven working experience as an account receivable clerk, accountings receivable manager, payroll administrator, or accountant. We are looking for a proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records with having a solid understanding of basic accounting principles. A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail is required. It is preferred to have hands-on experience in operating spreadsheets, QuickBooks, and accounting software. A BS degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration is highly preferred.
This position involves in-office work with occasional travel.
