Position Overview:
Bulletproof is seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to help ensure that we offer our customers world-class quality as we continue to broaden our product offerings and expand our distribution channels.
The Quality Assurance Manager will perform quality control activities engaged in oversight of the services provided by contract manufacturers; coordinate testing and evaluation of ingredients and products against prescribed standards; collaborate with and provide support for cross-functional teams to guarantee the delivery of superior internal customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Demonstrate subject matter expertise as a member of a team of dedicated Quality professionals
Manage 1 QA Specialist, ensuring they have clearly defined goals, and deliver on expectations
Lead team member in document control and organization, sales requests and ad hoc projects
Serve as an auditor for Bulletproof, assessing current and potential contract manufacturers quality and food safety management systems
Understand and comply with departmental and corporate SOPs
Provide superior internal customer service to such departments as Product Management, R&D, Supply Chain, etc.
Serve as main quality contact on both innovation projects and on-going product categories
Review customer complaint data and develop appropriate action plans to address
Partner with co-mans and warehouse, as needed, on investigations and CAPAs
Stay current on quality standards/regulations such as FSMA, NLEA, GFSI
Brings together staff of different disciplines and drives the group to plan and formulate comprehensive quality procedures
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different quality requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments; create Best in Class quality culture.
Qualifications:
5-7 years’ experience in a multifaceted Quality operation
Relevant scientific/technical degree is strongly preferred; may substitute substantial related experience
Understanding of the regulatory and quality requirements of the food, beverage and supplement manufacturing environments; knowledge of cGMP, HACCP, FDA, USDA Organic and similar standards
A history of working with contract laboratories to schedule and perform analytical testing
Qualified auditor (via training and experience)
Certified PCQI (preventative controls qualified individual)
HACCP certified
Experience with dietary supplements, NSF knowledge a plus

Annual base salary gross: $90,000 - $120,000. The base salary range represents the anticipated low and high end of the salary range for this position. The base salary is one component of the total compensation package for employees.
