Brandwatch websites get millions of visitors every year. We’re looking for a talented and ambitious Full Stack Developer, to join our in house web team.

Over the next few months we’re excited to begin a fresh Javascript-based rebuild of our website - we’re looking for an experienced Full Stack Developer to help architect this on a modern Javascript stack.

Our current codebase is based on legacy technologies such as PHP, so this work will involve a new, greenfield project. You’ll work with autonomy and we’ll rely on your ability to make solid technical decisions.

If you’re experienced in React development, this role will be squarely in your wheelhouse. On the other hand, we’re also excited to hear from you if you have solid core Javascript skills and have been looking to use React professionally as your next step.

Working in tandem with two front-end developers and another backend developer, and in a company that has a strong DNA and sense of brand and innovation - the website team exists to develop and maintain consistent, performant, user friendly, always-available SaaS websites that (literally) drive the company’s growth worldwide. You’d nod your head to most of the following:

  • You have several years’ experience as a full-stack developer.
  • Environments you’ve used may include LAMP through to Javascript ES2016 and Node, Wordpress, Laravel, and others.
  • You have React or similar experience, or have solid Javascript skills and a strong desire to work in this area.
  • You’ve an interest in modern development approaches such as JAMstack.
  • You have some experience with SQL databases such as MySQL.
  • You think no feature is complete until it’s tested!
  • We’d love it if you know and can enthusiastically discuss topics such as SOLID, DRY, OOP, and functional programming.
  • You care about design and UX.
  • You’re a people person, and enjoy working in a small, collaborative team.

Practically speaking you’ll report to and work with our web team lead. We have a laid back attitude, but are ambitious to produce the best possible work!

As a team and an individual you’ll find rare autonomy, so this role would suit someone who prefers decision-making within a small team to being a smaller cog in a large engineering machine.

The websites and features we build are used by millions of people each year, so your work will be highly valued. As well as serving our clients and customers, our websites serve all of our staff - you’ll work with stakeholders from across the company: from marketing, to the product team, to the CEO - so some great people skills won’t go amiss!
