Brandwatch is a enterprise social intelligence platform that helps brands extract business-changing insights from social conversations. We have a lot of great customers, one third of the Fortune 100 have embedded Brandwatch across their organisations. We count well known brands like Unilever, L'Oreal, eBay, Asos, Microsoft and Pepsico as customers, but that just isn’t enough. We want more of the best brands and agencies to get great insights from our software, this is where you come in.

As a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Brandwatch you’ll be targeting the largest organisations in the APAC Region. Initially you’ll be finding those people who are most interested in our solution, then passing well qualified opportunities on to our sales team.

We are looking for people who want to work their way up through our company. You might be returning to the industry or have had a job in sales already, although we don’t mind if you haven’t, but you will want to get into a fast growing tech business.

We offer the opportunity to move into handling the full sales cycle as a Sales Executive or perhaps to move into one of our Account Management teams. Alternatively, if you fancy a more unconventional approach we have seen our BDR’s move into our Technical Support, Training and Professional Services teams. We want people to stay in this role for 18 months (although we’ve had some people move up  in under 12  months) by then you’ll be at your full earning potential, will be a pro at using the Brandwatch software and ready for the next chapter in your Brandwatch story.

We asked Mark, one of our team members in our Brighton, UK office, what a typical day at Brandwatch was like in the BDR team:

“Every day at Brandwatch is different. In my role as a BDR I speak to prospects from across every sector, each with a different use and need for our products and services. With every company comes a new challenge, whether it be a large financial institution or a cutting edge tech brand they all need to get the best understanding they can of social listening and it's implementation within their organisation. These challenges are what motivates me and makes my job enjoyable.”

Further to that our colleague Natascha added;

“Most of the prospects I work with have lots of questions regarding Social Listening in general, the market and the benefits of Brandwatch - which is a nice challenge. I work on long-term relationships with strategic and enterprise outbound prospects who I have frequent meetings/calls with, I also meet potential customers out and about at conferences or client events. I work really closely with the Sales and Marketing teams, together we come up with prospecting ideas, strategies and attend events together. Apart from my daily activities the team also has weekly training, commercial sharing and 121s that enable me to sell Brandwatch’s products and to enhance my knowledge and skills across sales and pitching”
