FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

REPORTS TO: Senior Director of Short Duration Tournaments and Collegiate Bowling

 

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8:00 am5:00 pm, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

This position is responsible for assisting with managing the day-to-day administration of the USBC Collegiate program and IBC Youth Events and Tournaments including providing quality customer service to all individuals who contact our office via electronic mail, written correspondence, or telephone, maintaining membership and eligibility and coordinating post-season competition responsibilities. The position will act as the initial point person when individuals contact youth programs and will be responsible for providing phone and e-mail customer service for youth programs. The position will assist in the coordination of entries for IBC Youth Tournaments.

 

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Answer questions by phone, mail, or electronic communication regarding programs managed for collegiate bowling and youth tournaments.
  • Monitor and service customers through youth membership portals, Junior Gold Portals, and USBC Collegiate Portals.
  • Process memberships for parents or bowlers that contact IBC Youth directly.
  • Assist with reporting on statistics and reporting requirements for brands.
  • Coordinate processing of collegiate membership dues, Sectional, ITC, and ISC entries and fees, ITC ticket sales, and invoice payments and maintain daily income and expenses for the USBC Youth Department.
  • Communicate with parents and students on collegiate eligibility.
  • Enforce and maintain USBC Collegiate rules, researching and responding to waivers/appeals of the rules as well as answering general questions about the program.
  • Process and monitor team and athlete membership and eligibility for collegiate programs. Communicate with coaches regarding ineligible players throughout the season.
  • Prepare and distribute Pre-season, Sectional, ISC, and ITC forms and mailers. Provide ITC/ISC managers eligibility status for individuals advancing to post-season competition.
  • When requested attend and assist in the operations of IBC Youth tournaments which may include USA Bowling, Junior Gold, Youth Open, ITC, Sectionals, and ISC.
  • Assist with USA Bowling, Youth Open, Junior Gold, Pepsi, Survivor, etc. questions via phone and e-mail.
  • Process all entries and mail confirmations and packets to all teams.
  • Assist with onsite registration.
  • Verify averages and youth memberships for all participants.
  • When requested assist and attend short-duration tournaments which may include USBC Masters, USBC Queens, U22 Masters and Queens, etc.
  • Attend Collegiate Coaches meetings.
  • Assist with all aspects of the USBC Collegiate Hall of Fame.
  • Assist with entries and registrations for Short-Duration tournaments.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

  • Exercise good judgment regarding items of a sensitive and confidential nature.
  • Knowledge of bowling preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, education, marketing, business management, sports management, or a minimum of two years of marketing experience.
  • Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally required to move about inside the office and offsite locations.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Occasionally lifting/moving objects up to 30 pounds.
