REPORTS TO: Live Events Production Manager

 

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM – 5 PM, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours, as needed.

POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The Video Production Specialist supports the creation of engaging video content that tells the story of bowling athletes, events, and the community. This role is hands-on in all aspects of production, filming, editing, motion graphics, and on-site event coverage. The Specialist works under the direction of the Video Production Manager and supports BowlTV, USBC, PWBA, and other properties through dynamic visual storytelling.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

Production and Editing

  • Produce and edit video content for social media, web, BowlTV, and television.
  • Support event coverage through videography, highlights, and storytelling features.
  • Execute pre-production tasks, including scripting, scheduling, and coordinating logistics with internal departments.
  • Create motion graphics and visual elements that align with brand guidelines.

Event and Field Production

  • Travel to events for on-site coverage, assisting with filming, audio capture, and lighting setup.
  • Collaborate with event operations staff and broadcast teams to ensure smooth integration of production activities.
  • Support livestream production teams as needed during BowlTV broadcasts.

Content Management and Delivery

  • Manage footage, edit projects to completion, and ensure timely delivery to multiple platforms.
  • Assist in maintaining the video archive, including labeling, organizing, and cataloging assets.
  • Upload and manage video content across BowlTV and YouTube channels.

Creative Collaboration

  • Work closely with the Video Production Manager to execute creative direction and maintain visual consistency.
  • Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to produce promotional content for campaigns and social media.
  • Contribute ideas for new video formats and storytelling approaches to enhance engagement.

Equipment Maintenance & Operations

  • Maintain, organize, and troubleshoot video, audio, and lighting equipment.
  • Assist with inventory management and recommend equipment upgrades or replacements when needed.
  • Support setup and teardown for on-site video shoots and live broadcasts.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, and related post-production software (DaVinci Resolve a plus).
  • Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
  • Strong storytelling instincts and visual composition skills.
  • Ability to multitask, meet deadlines, and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • A passion for sports media and familiarity with competitive bowling preferred.

 

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film, Media Production, Communications, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of video production experience; live event experience preferred.
  • Experience operating professional cameras (e.g., Sony, Blackmagic, Canon).
  • Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, and/or climb.
  • Must be able to move/lift up to 75lbs.

  • Compensation paid commensurate on experience.
