JOB TITLE: Field Services Manager

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

 

REPORTS TO: Director of Field Services

WORK HOURS: Monday – Friday 8 AM5 PM, ability to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

As a Field Services Manager, you’ll wear many hats, keeping your work dynamic and rewarding. Key responsibilities include:

 

  • Champion the Sport: Represent USBC at key events such as Jamborees, Workshops, Town Hall Meetings, and Conventions, inspiring associations and centers with new ideas and strategies.
  • On-the-Ground Impact: Travel monthly to your territory to connect with bowling centers, consult on programs, and deliver exceptional USBC services that create lasting value for members.
  • Foster Relationships: Build and maintain meaningful partnerships with local and state associations, centers, and industry leaders to ensure the continued growth of bowling in your region.
  • Develop & Deliver Programs: Create impactful training sessions and resources for associations to elevate their operations and championship tournaments.
  • Drive Grassroots Growth: Collaborate with bowling centers to implement programs that attract and engage bowlers of all skill levels, creating vibrant communities around the game.
  • Support Excellence: Serve as a trusted advisor to associations, helping them achieve operational compliance and best practices while ensuring their unique needs are communicated back to USBC HQ.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY REQUIREMENTS:

 

To excel in this role, you’ll need a mix of skills, knowledge, and enthusiasm:

 

  • Inspiring Trainer: Experience creating and leading engaging presentations and training sessions.
  • Bowling Advocate: A deep understanding of USBC programs and services, with a passion for growing the sport.
  • Relationship Builder: Ability to connect with diverse groups, including proprietors, volunteers, and members.
  • Self-Starter: Highly motivated with strong problem-solving skills and a knack for navigating complex situations.
  • Tech-Savvy: Familiarity with Microsoft Office and experience crafting compelling PowerPoint presentations.

 

EXPERIENCE AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Bowling knowledge is a plus.
  • Must pass the RVP program and maintain a “Green Light” status.
  • Must adhere to the Code of Conduct of the USBC Registered Volunteer Program is a condition of employment and continued employment.

 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

 

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
  • Occasionally required to move about inside the office and offsite locations.
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel, or crawl.
  • Light work that includes occasionally lifting/moving objects up to 30 pounds.

 

COMPENSATION/BENEFITS:

 

  • Compensation is paid commensurate with experience.

TRAVEL:

 

  • Travel up to 30% of the year, immersing yourself in local communities and bowling centers.
