Senior Character Artist

  • Sculpt high-resolution characters and assets, create clean game topology, UVs and textures
  • Work closely with the Art Director and concept artists to set and maintain high visual quality of character models
  • Ensure the character models are consistent with the defined visual style for the game
  • Participate in R&D efforts to develop new techniques and improve the art pipeline
  • Work collaboratively with other artists, designers and engineers on a daily basis
  • Work independently or in small groups to troubleshoot and provide solutions to production issues related to asset creation and migration across platforms
  • When necessary, engage in Outsourcing efforts by providing feedback through written or visual means to ensure external artists adhere to the internally established quality bar.

  • 3+ years creating professional character assets in the video game industry
  • Shipped at least one AAA title or mobile video game as a Senior Character Artist
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating a strong understanding of anatomy, facial anatomy and how it applies to animation
  • Proficiency in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop and Marvelous Designer
  • Proficient in the technical aspects of character art, troubleshooting and meeting aggressive performance targets
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Experience with Unreal Engine strongly preferred
  • Exceptional high-poly and low-poly modeling skills
  • Strong knowledge of materials and lighting
  • Experience working with outsourcing or external art vendors on at least one project


Bachelor’s Degree in 3D Art or relevant industry experience
