Senior Implementations Consultant

GTM - Customer Team London, United Kingdom



  • Manage a diverse portfolio and deliver large-scale implementation projects, spanning multiple sectors, with our largest and most strategic customers
  • Utilize business acumen and product knowledge to serve as a trusted advisor and become an application expert to address client use cases and business challenges
  • Build strong and positive relationships with client contacts, including executive sponsors and management for the duration of the project and post-delivery transition
  • Drive analysis and client recommendations at both strategic and operational levels, based on project objectives
  • Interpret and translate client requirements for application configuration and liaison with developers to build and test solutions
  • Be highly responsive to client communications and proactively research, resolve issues, and provide best practices
  • Manage project deliverables from beginning to end and define and confirm scope, ensuring that all specifications are clearly defined to satisfy expectations
  • Establishes a strategy of continuous risk management that enables proactive decisions and actions throughout the project life cycle including budgetary, timeline and performance considerations
  • Develop expertise on the full range of BlackLine product modules
  • Lead, mentor, train and coach junior implementation consultants to complete project outputs
  • Approximately 30% travel required

  • Ability to facilitate and harness cross-team collaboration working with teams in-person and virtually
  • Demonstrated experience communicating and presenting to a diverse set of people across groups and organizational levels
  • Bachelor's degree and/or 5+ years related experience
  • Knowledge/experience in Accounting, Audits, Financial Services, Software Technology, SaaS industry and/or related experience
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Professional experience in consulting, technology implementation, change management or related field expertise
  • Expertise with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and support of software application
  • Strong client relationship skills
  • Excellent communication skills, strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential 
  • Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, Salesforce/CRM, Accounting Software
  • Knowledge of accounting terminology and processes (e.g. month-end close process)
  • Experience in SaaS industry and/or Software
  • Experience with large scale ERP systems including SAP and Oracle
