What You Will Do
Blackcomb Consultants is seeking a Lead Integration Developer to manage our Guidewire team in Bengaluru, India. As our Lead Integration Developer, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance throughout our Guidewire projects, collaborating with program managers, architects, developers, business analysts, quality assurance testers, and the client. In addition to your responsibilities as a Lead Integration Developer, you will also function as our Puerto Rico senior site lead, managing our resources working across multiple projects.

 Additional responsibilities include:

  • Oversee any technical activities including implementation and installation of solution
  • Provide Requirements and technical solution to the team
  • Support testing team to check product meets the expectation
  • Oversee and manage our technical team
  • Estimate effort required for each integration point
  • Assist with designing integration architecture with target systems expertise
  • Design and code integration components including plug-ins, messaging (and supporting business rules), and programs that call the Guidewire application APIs
  • Set-up and manage automated build and test processes
  • Perform unit testing and resolve defects
  • Configure and manage source control system and daily build processes (can be a shared responsibility with IT Infrastructure)
  • Create data model elements and extend the existing application data model with new properties as needed for integration components
  • Plan sprints in Rally: creating them and assigning the release dates for individual workstreams
  • Plan backlog items to sprints by their priority, dependency, the plan for interface specification and number of story-points
  • Plan tasks sprints
  • Create subtasks for development and testing under each new feature

Who You Are

To qualify for this position, you should meet the following requirements:

  • 5-10 years’ experience as a PolicyCenter Integration Developer
  • Experience in ClaimCenter and/or BillingCenter a plus
  • Agile experience is required
  • Deep insurance domain experience is required
  • Deep insurance technology management experience is required
  • Resource management experience across multiple projects is desired
  • Experience managing technical teams
  • Superb Communication skills is a must
  • Fiscal management experience is desired
