SUMMARY:

The BioMarin Summer Internship Program will enable students to gain valuable experience and knowledge of the processes and systems within BioMarin, while gaining an insight into the pharmaceutical/biotech industry.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Worldwide Research & Development (WWRD) Patient Advocacy function drives the integration of the patient voice in product research and development.  Summer intern will support patient input into current clinical development programs in the BioMarin pipeline. Projects may include

         Patient Recruitment and Retention Support

         Communication and Outreach

         Regional Events, Programs, and Development of Materials

         Alignment and Coordination of Cross-Functional Teams

 

Qualifications/Eligibility:

 

  • Interest in patient advocacy
  • Proficiency in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills necessary
  • Student must be returning to school in the Fall Term OR has graduated within the 1 year of the start of the intern program 
  • Must be available to work 40 hours a week
  • Housing and Transportation is responsibility of the Intern
  • Position located in Washington DC
