The Global Clinical Marketing & Commercial Performance department is looking for a Global Marketing Communication Project Manager to join Global Marketing Communications. This role will collaborate closely with global, regional, and local marketing, and cross-functional teams (Legal, Regulatory, Medical Affairs, Quality, Finance, Purchasing, etc.) along with advertising agencies and suppliers, to develop, design and implement marketing communications campaigns and activities through various channels (web, print, digital, events).

  • Manage the deployment of communication plans, based on the global marketing strategy, including omnichannel digital marketing campaigns.
  • Contribute to the implementation of a coherent online and offline customer journey that is aligned with the commercial strategy.
  • Create and manage tactics aligned to the marketing strategy of Clinical Operations: from writing the brief to delivery, including recommendations, and managing the implementation with agencies. Matching the tool/format/content to the tactical objective is one of the cornerstones of the Global MarCom project manager's responsibilities, with the ultimate goal of creating an optimal customer experience.
  • Manage time, budget, and human resources (i.e. coordination of internal contacts and external agencies) per project and work in agile mode to streamline resource deployment. 
  • Involve and support Regions & Countries to optimize operational execution:
    • Collaborate to gain business insights, maximize adoption, and plan local content adaptation as early as possible.
    • Provide them with tools to meet their localization needs (content, assets that meet their local regulations)
    • Train and support the regions and countries in the deployment of their campaigns or the creation of local variations.
  • Examples of projects:
    • Create communication kits for launches.
    • Create editorial calendars to enhance brand content, track performance indicators and monitor publications.
    • Co-manage strategic campaigns with digital marketing experts.
    • Roll out a global and local promotion plan for key congresses.

  • Up to 25% of travel time required.
  • Individual contributor role seated in the United States, Raleigh-Durham, NC area required.
  • Oversees and manages the copy approval process of various customer marketing materials for external use that are reviewed and approved by a large matrix team consisting of stakeholders in Legal, Regulatory, Quality, Medical Affairs. This role works daily with these stakeholders to answer questions, resolve issues, and ensure on time delivery of materials.

 

 

Qualifications

Training and Education

Minimum education and/or training requirements for this position (i.e., high school diploma, college degree, and/or certification).

 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in communications / marketing
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in communications and/or marketing in a large corporate environment or advertising agency.

Experience

Minimum time and type experience required for this position.

 

  • Minimum of 5 years in project management experience in a sales and/or marketing environment is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in digital activation campaigns: database deployment with drip campaigns, content deployment on social media, media buying, etc. is required.
  • Experience in the field of diagnostics / life sciences within a commercial organization, is preferred.
  • Extensive experience in product launches in an international, matrix environment is preferred.
  • Experience working with international contacts - taking cultural differences into account is preferred.

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Knowledge, special skills, and/or abilities required to perform the job functions (e.g., negotiation, technical writing, statistical evaluation).

 

  • Fluent in English.
  • Understanding portfolio, solution and franchise marketing is preferred.
  • Ability to negotiate, problem solve with no direct supervision authority in a matrix environment.
  • Proactive mindset and excellent organizational and priority management skills.
  • Understanding of the concept of the legal, regulatory, medical review process for regulated materials.
  • Customer-oriented with a positive attitude, flexible and open to consensus.
