Description

This position will oversee all aspects of manufacturing and maintenance operations at our Lombard facility. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of production lines and maintenance systems. The successful candidate will manage a team responsible for optimizing production processes and maintaining high standards of equipment performance and safety. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Lead and develop a team of production and maintenance professionals, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee the production process to ensure it meets quality standards and production deadlines.
  • Develop and implement maintenance strategies to ensure optimal functioning of all equipment and machinery.
  • Prepare and manage the budget for the production and maintenance departments, ensuring cost-effectiveness and resource optimization.
  • Continuously analyze current production and maintenance processes for efficiency gains and cost reductions.
  • Ensure all production and maintenance activities comply with legal and company standards for safety and environmental impact.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports on production output, machine downtime, and maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with other senior management and department heads to align production and maintenance strategies with company objectives.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree, Prefer Science, Engineering majors
  • 3 plus years of Operational Management
  • FDA/ISO 9001 experience required
  • FDA/ISO 13485/MDSAP Preferred

Knowledge and Skills

    • Ability to lead, motivate, and communicate effectively with a diverse team of professionals.
    • Deep understanding of manufacturing principles and maintenance management in industrial microbiology.
    • Strong ability to develop strategic plans and manage multiple projects simultaneously with meticulous attention to detail.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the capability to analyze complex production issues and implement effective solutions.
    • Knowledge of the latest industry-specific machinery and technologies; proficiency in using management and diagnostic software.
    • A strong commitment to upholding safety regulations and enhancing safety culture within the team.
