Position Summary:

We are looking for an experienced IS Portfolio Support Manager to join the bioMérieux IS Governance function. IS Governance’s large team oversees a wide scope of activities: Methods, Communication, Vendor management, Architecture, Strategy & Portfolio management… supporting and guiding all other IS departments.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support the definition of the IS Global portfolio strategy ensuring alignment with the Controlling & Company strategy
  • Establish strong partnership with functional Portfolio Managers and IS Controlling
  • Support continuous improvement of portfolio management process and practices (this could include conducting alignment or brainstorming workshops, delivering trainings, communicating on main portfolio milestones…)
  • Prepare regular portfolio reporting: monthly report on project health status and delivery progress, risks…
  • Develop & improve efficient tools to support portfolio follow-up & reporting (Tableau, Excel…)
  • Act as a Project and Portfolio Management (PPM) tool key-user: collect Project Manager, Portfolio Manager, and Resources Manager needs and prioritize the backlog of improvements (PPM technology based on Planisware)
  • Support continuous improvement of PPM methods and practices
  • Explain, guide, train and support project and portfolio managers for the scope of their responsibilities

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelor Degree in  Information Systems or equivalent with 5 years of experience in IT Project Management experience, along with experience with a PPM tool (Asana, Jira, Microsoft Project, Planisware) required
    • In lieu of a degree, High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience also accepted
  • Broad IT experience of 3+ years is desirable
  • Previous experience in a Project Management Office is desirable
  • Previous Portfolio or Program management experience is preferred
  • Experience working in an international environment is preferred
  • Experience including but not limited to Budget Management, Forecasting, Cost, and Financial Impact are preferred
