Normal working hours for this position are 2nd shift: Monday- Friday 2:00pm - 10:30pm. 
 
Position Summary: 
 
This role is intended to lead a Production Maintenance team.  Organize, administrate, optimize Maintenance Management and Production Maintenance activities, and oversee Project Management. Reduce the cost of maintenance and optimize department maintenance execution as well as management of outside contractors. Direct and oversee the Maintenance teams daily and project activities to ensure efficiency and productivity of the Production Maintenance team.
 
Primary Responsibilities
  • This position has Supervisory responsibility for decisions that directly impact the Production Maintenance Team as well as site manufacturing activities and product quality. 
  • Lead the assigned Production Maintenance shift to cost effectively produce a quality product that meets all regulatory and customer needs.
  • Support maintenance and production areas by demonstrating leadership behaviors: a self-starter who is organized, detailed, conscientious, and ambitious.
  • A team player with a positive attitude, approaching projects/tasks with a sense of ownership and a focus on root cause analysis/sustainable failure prevention.
  • Review preventative/corrective maintenance activities with a focus on constant improvement of existing procedures/processes and insures that all required documentation and records are maintained in accordance with site procedures and cGMP.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts to solve and address complex problems. Drive efforts in root cause analysis and continuous equipment/system improvement as well as infrastructure improvement toward the implementation of sustainable reliability based maintenance program.
  • Plans, initiates, and tracks progress of work assignments utilizing CMMS to meet manufacturing schedules and needs; effectively communicates status across shifts, throughout Production, and to site management.
  • Provides training, mentoring, and drives professional development
  • Responsible to follow all site Safety Policies/OSHA policies including requirements as related to personal protection equipment as needed to perform routine and non-routine duties.
  • Assist in special assignments with outside technicians or departments such as training or personnel.
  • Manage this shift team and assist with timesheet, PTO reviews/approvals and attendance tracking and evaluate the work of other personnel, communicate clearly in both written and oral formats including the employee performance reviews.
  • Correcting behavior & performance issues in real time and escalating issues to senior management as needed, participate in corrective action with manager regarding performance/behavior issues, as needed.
Education, Skills, & Experience: 
  • Associate’s Degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years of professional maintenance experience with strong hands-on knowledge of electrical, mechanical, or/and control systems.
    • Minimum 3 years in a leadership role.
    • Experience in a manufacturing environment would be a plus.
    • Experience in a regulated environment desired.
  • Knowledge of understand good manufacturing practices (GMP’s), ISO, and quality system regulations.
  • Advanced knowledge of trouble-shooting on equipment with a strong hands-on experience of electrical, mechanical, and/or control systems.
  • Able to read / redline electrical schematics, P&IDs, and mechanical / assembly drawings.
  • Capability of identify reoccurring problems on the manufacturing floor and determining the corrective action to using root cause analysis.
  • Effective communication between Department Shifts, Manufacturing, and Engineering.
  • Computer Skills: High level of capability to navigate the CMM system including experience with Excel and Outlook required.
  • Knowledge and understanding of 5s implementation.
