Position Summary & Responsibilities:

The normal working hours for this role are anticipated to be 7:00pm - 7:30am working a 2-2-3 rotation schedule. The Calibration Technician II is responsible for having discussion with the supervisor related to calibration of equipment at the Durham site.  With the collaboration of supervision, manufacturing, and quality, some decisions may be made requiring equipment to be taken out of service thus impacting production. This role will perform calibrations as needed. This role required interdepartmental collaboration to ensure timely and effective calibration execution without impact to the Production schedule.

  • Use the CCMS (Blue Mountain RAM) paperless calibration program to record calibration data.
  • Submit Asset Change Request (AFC) to improve the overall use of the CCMS and the information provided in asset records.
  • Review upcoming work to inform Asset Owners of instruments in their possession with upcoming calibrations.
  • Troubleshoot calibration failures and make recommendations for any instrumentation improvements.
  • Contribute at the project team level for calibration activities and participate in instrument and calibration specification development.
  • Provide input and participate in team meetings Develop and provide technical job aids and training presentations for calibration related activities.
  • Complete required training and follow HSE guidelines.
Education, Skills and Experience:
  • High School Diploma and 4 years of calibration-specific experience in a regulated industry or a minimum of 2 years of calibration experience and 4 years of technical or operational experience in a regulated industry.
    • Associate’s Degree and 2 years of calibration-specific experience in a regulated industry, or a minimum of 1 years of calibration experience and 2 years of technical or operational experience in a regulated industry also accepted
    • Bachelors Degree and 1 years of calibration-specific experience in a regulated industry or a minimum of 2 years of technical or operational experience in a regulated industry also accepted
  • Knowledge of industry standards regarding calibration in a regulated environment.
  • A demonstrated attention to detail and experience with good documentation practices.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills, in addition to technical knowledge is required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Experience with CCMS’ (Blue Mountain RAM) desired.
  • Ability to work overtime (including weekend / holiday work) as required
