Position Summary & Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Technician 3 is responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of manufacturing equipment at our facility. This role requires a high level of technical expertise and autonomy with a focus on complex troubleshooting, repairs, continuous improvement, and mentoring.
- Perform advanced preventive and corrective maintenance on sophisticated manufacturing equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems independently
- Contribute to root-cause analysis efforts to prevent recurring equipment issues
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to entry-level technicians
- Participate in continuous improvement projects to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with FDA regulations, GMP, ISO standards, and safety protocols
- Utilize and maintain accurate records in computerized maintenance management systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and minimize downtime
Education, Skills, & Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED with 4+ years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of electro-mechanical systems.
- Associate’s Degree and 2+ years of experience in electro-mechanical maintenance, troubleshooting and repairing of electro-mechanical systems.
- Experience in electrical maintenance is preferred
- Experience working in a cGMP/Regulated environment desired.
- Able to read ladder logic and troubleshoot/repair PLC’s, electrical systems, AC/DC drive systems, and mechanical systems desired.
- Proficiency in machining, welding, and fabricating a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and GMP experience (including knowledge of change control, validation, and commissioning processes) desired.
- Adheres to documentation requirements in a cGMP compliant manner in accordance with applicable Quality Policies.
- Competent in the use of computers and Microsoft Office tools (Word & Excel).
