Position Summary: 

Be a key business partner to support regional Support Function transformation as a primary scope of responsibility. Build and promote the IS project portfolio of a business-related domain for which he / she is accountable of the execution or the regional deployment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Relationship Management
    • The primary scope of the relationship management is covering : Human Ressources, Finance, Purchasing, Legal and Communication.
    • Act as leader with all IS resources involved in project deliveries by providing guidance and supervisory support to the project ensuring alignment with commitments
    • Can act as coach or mentor for other regional portfolio managers or project leaders.
    • Participate to project leader staffing.
    • Manage functionally and coach the project leaders assigned on the projects he / she is accountable for.
    • Establish strong partnership with the internal stakeholders of the related domain in the region.
    • Collaborate closely with the global portfolio manager by :
    • Contributing to the domain global portfolio definition and execution by providing the regional status and information.
    • Distributing global portfolio information having impact or interest for the stakeholders in the region.
  • Portfolio definition
    • Contribute to define a global portfolio roadmap along with key regional stakeholders: content and ambitions, macro timeline, rough estimates, or budget.
    • Accountable to provide project budget inputs to IS Leadership and Executive Sponsors for the regional projects and deployments.
    • Contribute to translate and organize the regional part of the defined roadmap into projects plan (timeline, budget, resources)
    • Communicate Support the communication of the vision and the portfolio to IS and stakeholders in the region.
  • Portfolio execution
    • Accountable for portfolio execution from opportunity to end of projects & deployments impacting the region.
    • Responsible of scoping phase to define budget & planning estimates and quality targets definition for projects & deployments impacting the region..
    • Accountable for making sure the project delivery respects its commitments in terms of scope, deliverables, costs & timing.
    • Provide inputs for Capacity Planning and secure staffing with IS Domain Managers and with business stakeholders when appropriate.
    • Participate in vendor management (RFP/vendor selection). Follow-up vendor performance.
    • Manage Fixed priced resources involved in project.
    • Ensure that the user adoption in projects is defined and measured.

Education, Skills, & Experience:

  • Bachelors degree required with 5+ years of experience in program or project management in IT or any Support Function. 
    • High school diploma/GED with 9+ years of experience in program or project management in IT or any Support Function also accepted
  • Experience in a regulated environment preferred but not required
  • Experience working in a global environment / organization is preferred
  • Solid analytical, organizational, and project management skills and leadership
  • Very good interpersonal skills, active listener, organizational awareness and relationship building
  • Very good communicator, both verbal and written
  • Ability to present projects, challenges, and opportunities to technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to lead internal cross-cultural and transversal groups in a Worldwide environment
