A Big Ass Fans Sales Engineer serves as a technical liaison with customers, sales representatives, vendors and internal stakeholders throughout the sales process to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Promote BAF products and solutions through customer calls, trade shows, white papers, lunch & learns, and exhibitions.
  • Work closely with customers to identify and understand their processes and product/solution needs and meet monthly sales metrics.
  • Review customer RFP’s, drawings, control documentation, etc. to determine requirements and/or feasibility of a given design or project.
  • Provide advanced application services at customer site, such as energy modeling, site specific data collection, or application data analysis.
  • Prepare preliminary design proposal(s), to include product layout drawings using AutoCAD and administer technical expertise to the customer during sales presentations and all other interactions.
  • Provides on and off-site assistance during BAF product installation.
  • Prioritize and manage sales team requests for application support based on customer deadlines, project value, and required expertise.
  • Work in cross-departmental teams to develop the best solutions.
  • Assist internal stakeholders in creating and maintaining support documentation; organizes and maintains project job folders with updates, correspondence, etc.
  • Communicate relevant and technical information via SalesForce CRM
  • Support product installation, troubleshooting, and field service activities, as needed.

Requirements

  • Proficiency working with standard office applications (email, Microsoft Office, Google Drive) and SalesForce CRM
  • BA/BS in Engineering Field (ME preferred)
  • Bilingual skills, preferred (English/French)
  • Strong communication skills. Communicate efficiently and effectively in a professional manner
  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently, accurately
  • Familiar with typical mechanical and electrical building systems
  • Available for travel up to 50%
