The Logistics Coordinator supports all aspects of transportation operations at Big Ass Fans (BAF). On-time and cost-efficient delivery of sales orders, purchase orders, and transfers is a critical function that enables BAF’s overall success. The Logistics Coordinator helps establish, improve, and maintain processes, systems, and relationships that support high performing transportation operations.
 
    

Responsibilities     

  • Quote US & International freight.
  • Handle a high volume of inbound and outbound carrier calls to provide shipment details.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and provide timely resolution on delivery exceptions daily, rectifying issues with transit and delivery such as damages, shortages, and non-conformance to specifications.
  • Process reconsignment or diversion actions as needed on outbound shipments and follow through until close.
  • Facilitate communication with customers, carriers, shippers and receivers to help resolve shipping issues with a high level of professionalism.
  • Update inbound and outbound routing guides to maximize efficiency in service and cost and monitor ongoing compliance with guides.
  • Assist in routing of 3rd Party e-commerce
  • Execute daily traffic management processes such as tendering, scheduling, and communicating with carriers on inbound and outbound shipments at all BAF locations.
  • Audit shipment invoices in BAF’s Freight Audit and Payment system.
  • Adhere to BAF workplace policies and contribute to a safe and harmonious workplace.  

Requirements     

  • 1 - 3+ years of experience in a logistics/transportation role
  • Prior experience in an organization with $10M+ annual logistics spend
  • Knowledge of applicable domestic and international shipping laws and regulations
  • Experience with data analysis, freight audit, or third-party shipping is preferred
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills and a positive mindset are essential
  • Previous experience with WMS and TMS software, and vendor shipping portals
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite products
