About the Role
The House Aide is responsible for food services at our care center which involves setting up the dining room and serving meals while following guidelines and maintaining a cleanly environment.
Our employees have the unique opportunity to build strong personal relationships with the people who call Bethany home. The House Aide encourages residents to be independent and only assist when needed during the meal service.

What You Will Do:
With a passion for care towards residents, families and team members, the House Aide is responsible for performing a variety of activities related to the health, safety and quality of life of residents. The House Aide ensures all materials for work materials are stocked and the dining room is kept presentable at all times to contribute towards our mission of service excellence.
Individual responsibilities will fall under five main areas of focus:
  1. Resident Centered Care  promote service excellence through ensuring that residents receive efficient food delivery in a calm, clean, organized, efficient and relaxed manner.
  2. Documentation – Accurate, comprehensive, and timely documentation of routine cleaning and ensures adequate supply of all cleaning supplies.
  3. Safety – contributes to a safe environment for residents, the team and self by understanding and adhering to safety guidelines and practices at all times.
  4. Active Learning – role models Bethany’s vision, mission and values on a daily basis, and understands and follows all Standards of Conduct.
  5. Teamwork – works cooperatively with others as an effective team member.
 What You Bring:
  • Grade 10 Education
  • 1 -2 years of experience working with seniors is preferred.
  • Knowledge of safety, hygiene, and sanitizing procedures an asset.
  • Ability to work effectively in a physically and mentally demanding environment.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
