Bilingual Benefits Administrator II (Customer Service)

Join our growing Benefitfocus team here in Charleston, SC! We are looking for full-time Bilingual (Spanish/English speaking) phone agent representatives to support our customers on our benefits platform. The Benefits Administrator II will help guide customers by providing phone support related to benefits enrollment on both our Spanish and English lines. The goal of our Benefits Administrator II is to convey knowledge, integrity, and a commitment to customer service to all of the customers they support. Benefits Administrators are an integral part of the Benefits Service Center team and will receive excellent training and learning tools when they join Benefitfocus through our Benefitfocus University training program.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 10:00am – 7:00pm

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Help guide and support customers by responding to inquiries that may be technical or non-technical in nature, regarding company products and general benefits information
  • Answer phone requests from end-users who are utilizing our online benefits enrollment application as it relates to benefit plan details, functionality, navigation and general use of software applications 
  • Provide an accurate timeframe for issue resolution if not able to resolve initially
  • Accurately create and document each customer interaction within our case tracking system (Salesforce)
  • Contribute to a team effort by accomplishing results as needed
  • Demonstrate and provide exemplary customer-service in all interactions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Must have the ability to communicate effectively in both Spanish and English (proficiency will be evaluated during interview process)
  • Prior experience in a call center preferred
  • Associates or Bachelors Degree preferred
  • Successful track record providing anticipatory customer service
  • A passion for helping others and resolving issues
  • Excellent customer support and client relationship skills
  • Ability to handle multiple projects at once
  • Familiarity with hospital systems/plans preferred
  • Able to thrive in a fast paced and innovative work environment
  • Excellent communication skills and working with customers over the phone
  • Proficient in MS office applications – Excel, Word, Access, Outlook
