Admissions Manager

The Admissions Manager is responsible for contact with clients, families, and referral sources prior to being admitted to our programs. The primary focus of the Admissions Manager is the management of business relationships in conjunction with the Business Development team and the management team. The Admissions Manager will verify insurance, communicate with referral partners, and screen all potential candidates for admission. The Admissions Manager is responsible for maintaining general census and tracking referral sources, including communication with the facilities on these matters to align with business goals. The Admissions Manager will complete all necessary documentation and communicate all pertinent information regarding admitting clients, account management, and day-to-day operations of the department.
 
Essential Job Function
 
  • Proven effectiveness working in a high-volume call center environment
  • Ability to make independent decisions with regards to referral accounts, new admissions, and operational issue that may arise
  • Ability to convert inbound calls to clients
  • Responsible to answer inbound phone calls into the admissions call center, and to make outbound follow up calls to prospective clients and accounts
  • Obtaining insurance info, financial agreements, and all documentation for admits
  • Develops and maintains referral relationships through outbound and follow up calls
  • Identify prospective referral accounts and foster lasting relationships with those accounts
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Team to identify and grow opportunities
  • Supports the Admissions Management Team, offers guidance and manages Admissions Staff
  • Maintains a client caseload and assigns cases to Admissions Specialists when necessary
  • Admitting clients to all Granite Recovery Centers programs
  • Must be available to answer work-issued cell phone when outside the office to assist with management of referral accounts and day to day operations of the department
  • Completing pre-assessments and completing all required fields in Kipu and Salesforce templates
  • Fundamental understanding of addiction and 12-step programming
  • Thorough note taking and documentation in Salesforce of all interactions with clients and referral accounts
  • Able to assist referral partners and accounts with potential clients, and make independent decisions in these situations which align with the business goals and mission of the organization
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum age requirement of 18
  • High school diploma or equivalent with at least 3-year prior experience
  • Demonstrate competency and understanding of insurance and private pay rates in conversations with clients and their families.
  • Understanding of business development strategy and referral partnerships that contribute to the goals of the business
  • Initiative to take charge of unforeseen situations and utilize problem solving strategies.
  • Must be able to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment in which attention to detail must be maintained.
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
  • Satisfactory criminal background check and drug screen
