Recruiting Coordinator
Reporting to the Director of Human Resources, the Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for coordinating effective and efficient recruitment efforts across a group of residential treatment centers within New Hampshire and Southern Maine. The coordinator’s responsibilities require critical and independent thinking skills along with superb verbal and written communication skills to support recruitment activities and ensure organizational success. Work includes coordination of administrative functions for the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding process for new employees including maintaining recruitment databases, conducting candidate background checks, and assisting with candidate sourcing and marketing of recruitment activities. As part of the Human Resources Team, the chosen candidate will work closely with BayMark’s recruiting team, hiring managers, and new employees.
Essential Job Function:
- Effectively coordinates the recruitment efforts for treatment centers in assigned region.
- Supports hiring managers with scheduling of interviews and may participate in initial screening interviews as requested.
- Assists with maintaining a variety of databases, records, and reports to accurately record information for analysis and tracking purposes. The ATS database will contain candidate information that includes professional and personal information, source of lead, contact log, linkage to potential openings, and tracking for continued follow-up.
- Assists with maintaining Applicant Tracking System (Jobvite) and ensures all areas of system are accurate and up to date for assigned positions in region.
- Maintains and organizes current job requisitions, working closely with hiring managers.
- Maintains working knowledge of pay rates for open positions at all assigned treatment facilities, along with current knowledge of all hiring incentives, such as employee referral bonuses, sign-on bonuses, and shift differentials and be able to communicate the same to candidates.
- Sources (using variety of databases and social media), screens and orders background checks for candidates while continually providing regular feedback to the HR team and all hiring managers on the status of their open positions.
- Along with the BayMark recruitment team, utilizes various candidate sourcing sites such as Indeed, LinkedIn and other niche sites.
- Develops and maintains relationships with college and university career centers in the assigned recruitment region that train and graduate the professions that the company hires and utilizes Handshake to ensure effective and strong connections to early career candidates.
- Develops and maintains relationships with the employment security and/or department of labor offices for each state within assigned region to ensure positions are posted to job seekers and to develop partnerships that will result in participation in virtual and in-person career and job fairs.
- Participates in marketing activities that include sending email blasts, creating recruitment content and updating social media sites to ensure accurate and updated information on job openings are visible and attractive to candidates.
- Maintains the New Hire Tracker and shares accurate and timely updates with hiring managers.
- Assists with new hire onboarding activities and participates in New Employee Orientation sessions as part of the HR team.
- The position requires the ability to travel to all of our treatment center locations as needed to develop and maintain strong working relationships with hiring managers.
- Regularly attend virtual and in-person hiring events throughout the region including job fairs, college career days, and other recruitment events to ensure high visibility of the company’s job opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in a related field, plus a minimum of three (3) years recruiting and/or human resources experience preferred. Prior healthcare or addictions treatment recruitment experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision, set priorities, critical thinking and follow through to accomplish results. Must maintain a high degree of confidentiality, possess good interpersonal and organizational skills, and be comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced work environment.
- Reasoning Ability: Ability to collect data, establish facts, prepare information and in-put data in a pre-determined format. Competent sourcing and background checks. Ability to understand the basic data needs of the department and the systems used to store and report the data. Ability to communicate well with all levels of candidates and employees, as well as with all hiring managers.
- Required Skills/Computer Skills: An individual should have strong computer skills using the Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) along with experience using an Applicant Tracking System (ATS) for recruiting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.
- Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
- Satisfactory criminal background check.
- Satisfactory drug screen.
