Full Time Alumni Coordinator
The Alumni Coordinator plans, implements, and executes programming and services for the Facility.  Areas of focus will include event planning, alumni engagement, volunteer management, communications, social media, and local alumni programming. 
Responsibilities:
  • Engage clients while they are going through treatment, explaining the benefits of the alumni program offered by the facility
  • As a speaker in groups at the facility as defined by facility staff, encourage alumni to visit their treatment center post discharge to share experiences, strength, and hope.
  • Set up weekly meetings at the facility for alumni to attend
  • Develop and manage programs with the goal of empowering alumni to stay connected to the treatment facility.
  •  Facility special events on and offsite, developing networking opportunities and working with the facility business development team on building out social media outreach
  •  Organize, plan, and execute various alumni events, with focus on reserving venues, creating marketing collaterals, coordinating vendors, managing reservations, staffing plans, and supervising activities.
  • Educate facility staff to create a deeper awareness of the benefits of the alumni program
  • Conducts routine wellness calls to all discharged patients, enrolled in the Alumni program or not, to confirm patient adherence to aftercare/recovery plans.
  • Support department-wide projects, activities and events as needed.
  • Facilitate as needed or requested, outside speaker events, coordinating with local AA and NA groups.
  • Work closely with the Director and VP of Marketing, Program Director and Discharge Planning leveraging best practices to develop and launch an Alumni program. 
  • Serves as front-line resource for Alumni inquiries and manages coordination and contact with Alumnus. 
  • Manages Alumni database 
  • Works with discharge planning to coordinate and connect recent “graduates” with recovery-oriented meetings, groups, and support 
  • Assists in publishing quarterly Alumni newsletter, maintains and updates mailing and email lists and Alumni database 
  • Active in the recovery community
  • Assists with identifying triggers and the development of a supportive home environment
  • Promotes the alumni program to patients, staff, and the community; keeping the alumni engaged through phone calls, e-mails, social media, surveys, and events
  • Furnishes a Monthly report to facility leadership on alumni activities, planning for future alumni events, patient enrollment in the Alumni program and attendance at alumni events.
  •  Identify policy and programmatic issues with the facility Alumni program; develop strategies, solutions, and recommendations
  • Assists in the preparation of budgets for the Alumni program.
  •  Adherence to a code of conduct conducive with BayMark Services policy is expected
  •  Other duties, as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-3 years; training or related field.
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Sales experience preferred (not required).
  • Required Background Check/Screening
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers
  • Satisfactory CORI check/OIG and Pre-employment Drug Screen
  • Ability to read and interpret written information; write clearly and informatively; edits work for spelling and grammar. Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations; listens and gets clarification; responds well to questions; demonstrates group presentation skills; and participates in meetings. 
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • If in personal recovery, a minimum of 2 years clean and sober.

  •  Experience maintaining a database (preferred).
  • Satisfactory references from employers and/or professional peers.
  • Satisfactory drug screen and criminal background check
Salary Range: 
Generally starting at $19.00 an hour.

The salary of the candidate(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, education, specialty, and training.
