Residential Aide
Works under the supervision of the TCD. The Residential Home Aide is responsible for the observation and monitoring of residents of the sober living home and facilitates houses meeting and group activities. Maintains direct communication with residents within the sober living community to ensure a successful transition to post-treatment living.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Monitor of Residents during assigned hours.
- Ensuring all house rules and chores are followed.
- Responsible for house inventory
- Regular reporting to AOD clinical staff and program regarding house and clients progress
- Develop and enforce house rules for residents.
- Maintain and enforce clean and ethical housing standards for recovery success.
- Coordinate treatment groups and facilitate appointment linkage.
- Contraband checks
- Complete Incident Reports
- Monitoring resident taking their medications.
- Working w/ clinical team
- Will perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age requirement of 18.
- Background of addiction or related work experience. Training adequate to perform job duties.
- 2 years of experience working directly with the targeted population or providing housing services.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional public presentation skills, including telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work with a diverse population.
- Possesses a competent understanding of substance use disorder, recovery and trends within the industry.
- Understanding of HIPAA, Federal, State & CARF standards & regulations
- Proficient in basic PC skills, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
- Ability to maintain routine records and communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Interpersonal skills that promote interdisciplinary collaboration and effective communication.
- Flexible and cooperative in fulfilling all obligations.
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written directions, establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, program management, medical staff, counselors and peers.
