Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment throughout all stages of construction projects.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with OSHA standards and other relevant health and safety regulations.
  • Manage and train a team on safety practices, emergency response procedures, and the correct use of personal protective equipment.
  • Lead incident investigations, analyze accident reports, and recommend preventative measures to avoid future occurrences.
  • Coordinate with project managers, regulatory agencies, and external contractors to maintain safety standards across all project activities.
  • Develop risk assessment processes to evaluate and mitigate risks associated with construction activities, especially in life sciences facilities.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry safety trends and legal requirements to ensure ongoing compliance and best practices in safety management.
 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Environmental Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10  years’ experience in safety management, specifically in construction environments.
  • Extensive knowledge of construction safety standards, risk management, and environmental safety requirements.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective safety programs in construction settings.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams to adhere to safety protocols.
  • Experience in the life sciences sector is highly desirable, with an understanding of the specific safety challenges in this industry.
