Summary 
This person (a project lead/manager) will primarily work with external CMOs that are critical to manufacturing/supplying Recothrom and potentially other Advanced Surgery products. 

Responsibilities 
? Leads teams in defining project deliverables working with internal team as well as external suppliers 
? Accountable for core team performance, project schedule and execution 
? Provides clear direction and requirements to meet expectations on the project 
? Provides updates and ongoing communications including project risks and mitigations across teams and stakeholders 
? Require flexibility in working with global teams. May require early morning or late evening calls/WebEx 
? Having technical background (i.e. engineer/scientist) and a good understanding of GMP and product development experience would be desired. 
? Independently plan, execute and direct cross functional engineering projects, that may cross traditional product lines. Diverse new approaches to problems encountered through adaptations and modifications of standard engineering principles. 
? Manage projects on a cross functional basis, including direct supervision of team members. 
? Manage the project costs (all financial aspects) of product development. This will include capital expenditures and cross functional expenses. 
? Identifying and resolve complex problems, including the development of new design experiments, without supervision. 

Qualifications 
• Good communication skills with matrix management experience required. 
• Independent judgment in the evaluation, selection and adaptation of various engineering techniques required. 
• Good understanding of GMP and medical device / pharma product development experience 
• Demonstrated ability to manage small and large projects 
• Business acumen 
• Ability to work under pressure 
• Flexibility to work with global time zone 

Education / Experience 
• Bachelor of Science in Science or Engineering. 
• Must possess a minimum of 8-10 years of recent and relevant experience, plus 2-5 years of matrix management experience. 
• Thorough, up to date knowledge of multiple disciplines required. 
• Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, & MS Project
