Digital Marketing Analyst

Avalara is seeking a Digital Marketing Analyst to lead advertising performance analysis across major search and social platforms. You are a data junkie, adept at quickly gaining actionable insights from performance data and tests, and turning learnings into action.  This position is based in Seattle and reports to the Senior Manager of Digital Marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Identify keyword and display performance trends and insights at a large scale using real-time performance data
  • Create, update, and maintain regular performance reports and share with internal teams
  • Analyze the effectiveness of digital campaigns across paid channels and recommend improvements
  • Use a combination of data sources and tools, including Tableau and Salesforce.com, to gather data
  • Absorb millions of rows of keyword and ad level data from multiple ad networks (Google, Bing, LinkedIn, Facebook, and others)
  • Work with internal analysts and engineers to manage and improve our bidding model
  • Conduct and discern actionable insights from A/B and multivariate testing
  • Partner with other marketing analysts across business units to drive best practices for data management and campaign tracking
  • Be able to support the team in building and deploying SEM campaigns 

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of direct experience in a data analyst role, preferably in environments with data requirements from multiple sources
  • 2+ years experience working for B2B-focused SaaS organizations
  • Experience with website analysis using a variety of analytics tools including Adobe Analytics as well as internal reporting tools.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce, DoubleClick/Google Marketing Platform, Facebook Ads and LinkedIn Ads is required
  • Exceptional analytical skills, including data manipulation and financial analysis
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in MS Excel, MS Access and database design
  • SQL experience preferred
  • Demonstrated critical thinking skills
  • Outstanding communication, project management and collaboration skills with the ability to work with both technical and business teams
  • Ability to work independently/efficiently and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • BS degree in Business, Economics, Statistics or a related field preferred - masters’ degree is a strong plus
